My Man!!

This is one topic I'd spend days just sitting and thinking about. Well any girl would. So why should I be any different??

I have unrealistic expectations I know about the guy I wish to be with. Cos such guys don't exist these days. They're an extinct lot now.

Can I find a guy these days who respects woman. Chivalry is dead!!

Ok .... I'll tell you what I have in mind about the one!

Honest, sincere, loyal, presentable, tee-totaller, simple, chivalrous, definitely a family person, God - fearing, humourous, hardworking, head on shoulders type of person, someone who will stand by me, accept me as I am and not for what I look like, a person of strong moral characters

Gosh! If I go around looking for such a guy ...the only message I read everywhere is OUT OF STOCK!!!...whatever happened to the gentlemen.......

What I cant tolerate about guys: Ugly uncivilised behaviour, MAMA'S BOYS.....gosh aren't they old enough to take their own decisions, guess the doc forgot to cut their umbilical cord...i really can't stand wimps, cowards, dishonesty, cheapos, perverts, philanderers, immature cry baby's....they need a 'nanny' not a girl friend.

Why can't guys be good? Why do they always cheat? Why can't they respect woman and why do they look at them in the wrong sense always? After all even their mother, sister, daughter, relative or friend happens to be a women. Doesn't that strike them? Why do they take emotional advantage of them? A lot of things like these I don;t understand about them!!

Great expectations!

We all have expectations in life! From life! From our parents, from our children, from our siblings, from our friends, from our spouses and from all other relationships.

I too used to have expectations from each of them. But soon I've realised it, in most instances, the hard way.... that great expectations can lead to greater disappointments. Sometimes those you least expect to are the ones who do things or behave in a way you would least expected even in your wildest dreams. Life's taught me to expect the unexpected. It has taught me to be prepared for the worse things to happen. It's not that I'm turning out to be a pessimist, rather I'm moulding myself to be practical and to accept life as it comes. It has taught to me to stop having unrealistic goals and start having practical goals.

When expectations don't turn into reality, dreams are shattered, I feel upset....terribly upset. It affects me a lot, my work and my life. That's when I've started to expect the least and never to surrender life and its decisions to something that doesn't exist. Else once that unrealistic base is gone..so also your life that you kept around it sinks.

So many times I've learnt not to expect and yet again I go back travelling on the same road of expectations, only to be heartbroken again. Is it in human nature to keep going the same track despite getting hurt?? Not found any answer to that yet!

Relationships

What is it that makes us feel wanted? Feel loved? To feel belonged to one special person? Is that why we are called 'social animals'??

It's the drive in us that keeps us going in want, in search of that one person who will make us feel special, loved and cared for. Everyone at some point of time in life reaches this stage. No one can live as an island.

Some of us have our share of heartbreaks on our journey to find that one person we're looking for. I guess that's how we learn from our mistakes. It teaches us 'what not to go for'. Just like as children we learn what food tastes good and what doesn't. Dealing with that heartbreak is what determines the way ahead. Some of us let it get the better of us and hence we choose not to try again, remain in our shattered state of heart and mind. Some of us choose to move on, keeping in mind the lessons we've learnt from our mistakes. To get up, and walk straight ahead is not an easy task. It needs courage, strength and determination to get going, get moving on in life. Its the hope that helps us to get going that sooner or later we will find what we've been looking for...hope is like that dim light at the end of an endless tunnel. There's nothing like the joy we immerse ourselves in once we've reached there.

Measuring the time and distance and efforts to reach there will only make us feel discouraged. Just the aim needs to be our goal. And hope is what we carry with us a lamp. Determination needs to be our shield against every downfall and perseverance that force that keeps us driving to our heart's desire!!

She's my pet rabbit. Was the size of a fist full of cotton when we got her 3 weeks ago. I love pets. Dont just love them, but passionate about them. One reason why I graduated in Zoology.

She's cute, soft, furry, got a mind of her own, quick learner and lots more to learn about her in the days to come. She keeps trying no matter what. Nothing is a barrier to her. And she finally succeeds. Something we all must learn in life. Enjoys life to the fullest. Always in a world of her own.
